OK I just got a wiseco standard bore piston & a new cylinder. The wiseco piston came with a copper colored ring & a black ring, I know which direction faces up but the instructions do not say which is the first & second ring????? And also what should I gap these rings to? Its 11.5:1 Compression.....HELP

dude

there is no way you are going to get that info here and even if someone comes up with it I still wouldn't trust it. I'm not saying people are going to lie, they may be right on, but you really should call Wiseco for that info....go right to the source.

The ring set up is CRUTIAL!!!! The gap is pretty crutial but the ring order is very crutial. I could give you an educated guess but I wont, cause that would be stupid of me.

The rings should be different thicknesses, and the thicker ring should only fit in one of the top two slots.

What he said. I have the same piston, and one of the rings is thicker and will only fit into one of the grooves. As far as ring gap, I thought the piston came with a small info sheet, but I can not remember. Best bet would be to call Wiseco and ask them.
