It should go in no problem. Getting out will be a different story. :D

It will be just fine. Lots of people ride dunes without any paddles at all. They can't climb steep hills, but they can ride other areas just fine.

Almost ANY paddle will give you better traction over regular tires. They may not be top-notch, but I doubt you are drag-racing your blaster, so it really doesn't matter.

I wouldn't worry about fronts, either. Rear paddles are a good idea, because they will open lots of areas that you won't be able to get to with regular stock tires. But fronts won't matter a bit, just run your stock front tires.

I run front razors, but honestly, I don't need them. I would be just fine with regular tires, it just wouldn't look as cool.

well it depends on how much you weigh... i would keep them aired up quite a bit to get as little as grip as possible...

A blaster will definitely make it at the sand dunes. My friend has one and he rides it everywere at the buttercup sand dunes.

Stock blaster will do fine. We went to winchester just like a month ago with a stock blaster and it was going up pretty much all the same hills that we went up. Even went up when his dad got on it. It doesnt even have a pipe on it. Just front and rear paddle tires

i dont know man... 245lbs and paddle tires is sure a lot of work for a blaster... especially without a pipe...

that air cooled machine is gunna be working hard... hopefully you can keep it cool and from blowing a top end...

I rode a stock Blaster (2004, I think) at Gordens Well one time. It had 18x9x8 Kenda Geckos. It got around fine and was "dunable" but don't expect to impress anyone speed-wise. Momentum is the name of the game with an underpowered machine. Build speed where you can and carry it to the places where you CAN'T build speed but want to.

The Geckos felt like too much paddle though. A set of 6 paddle Skat-Track Gliders would probably be my choice for a Blaster. Not sure on what size I'd choose. 18 inchers would be slightly lighter but the so-so suspension of the Blaster made riding through chop a real chore with 18 inchers. The 18s seemed to struggle with rolling over anything but smooth sand. 20 inchers would likely help with that I think. I'd prolly choose 20s--but without having actually tried them I can't say with 100% certainty that's the better choice.

I wouldn't be surprized if a set of fresh(ish) knobbies would have been more to my liking. I felt like the traction offered by the Geckos were keeping the engine from spinning up (and staying spun up) when I needed/wanted it to.

With the Geckos I was able to climb the drag hill at Patton Valley--but barely. I weigh ~180 in my gear. The owner of the bike couldn't make it up certain hills. A time or two we had to find a line he could handle. I'm confident a set of 6 paddle Gliders would have done better in that regard.

what you said is true gp... but that extra 70 lbs makes a lot of difference... its gunna take some dang good riding to be able to, and even then...

I don't think the benifit justifies the extra cost. Scat-Trak Gliders are roughtly $80 per tire, while the Geckos are less than $50. You're adding another 60% cost for a small performance gain.

I don't think the Gliders are worth it.

ya it should be just fine, not any arm ripping power or anything like that though.

i've done it with sand devils but you might do better with the stock knobbies aired down

well if you go look in the dyno section, supposedly blasters are top of the line and make the 450s look like a joke... :huh
