spark arrestor

im going to be doing indoor racing and i have a full procircuit t4 system on my 400ex it says that i can remove the spark arrestor for closed course racing but is this good for my quad? will it ruin the lifetime of my motor? will i notice any gains? thanxs

In or out, it won't make much of a difference. With the arrestor out, there would be (very) minimal power gains due to increased exhaust flow. You wouldn't notice anything.
