i have a 440ex, and it doesnt overheat now, but im thinking in the summer when its 80F out it might.. so, what are some cooling techniques you guys have? Scoops i hear wont help much but im willing to go the extra mile for my quad.

i would put on a larger oil cooler or throw another 1 on there. that would probably be the most effective method

I would agree with the previous posts.

CDB motor sports has a new oil cooling system coming out in a week or two (according to the guy at their shop that I talked to). It cools your oil right b4 putting in into the engine. You have to tap into the top of your motor. It sounds way better than stock and pretty promising. I'm planning on buying one when I get my 440, just curious how it's going to work.

Kits like that are already out. I think either four stroke tech or GT Thunder make em.

Yep and you can buy the same thing out of summit racing I believe at a fraction of the price

Ya I remember now its a tranny cooler kit made by perma cool that sold for around $30-$40, fourstroke tech started selling them for something like $150 even though it was just a repackaged perma cool kit.
