300ex help needed

I have 98 honda 300ex, quad wont start, battery is good. I hit the start button all I get is clicking at the solenoid. I can not jump the solenoid. I have also tried a know working solenoid and still wont start. Any ideas ??

well if it isnt the solenoid, it can be 2 other things
the battery isnt fully charged
or the starter contact brushes are shot

my guess is its the starter, to check, when it clicks tap on the starter a few times with a hammer or something.

or rock it back in forth in gear and hit the start button,
