HMF exhaust

Has anyone taken there hmf exhaust apart to repack the inside?.
I was told that the pop-rivits were special rivits.And steel rivits would blow out.Is this true

Dont sound like it. Every one uses steel/aluminum rivets. And theirs no pressure on the rivets any ways at less your packing is all burnt up.

I hope not, I ripped mine apart and have yet to put it back together.
