Please i wont to know difference between THROTTLE with handle and THROTTLE for bikes

Hello,

I´am from Slovakia - little country in EUROPE. Please excuse my english, i know that is not very well.

I wont to difference between THROTTLE with handle and THROTTLE for bikes.

I have Honda 400 EX ´01 and i have THROTTLE for bikes.

Which is the best for racing ?

With THROTTLE for bikes i can´t do wheelies. But this isn´t important for me.

they just operate differently. the bike throttle you twist the grip to get throttle, with the atv throttle you push the lever.

one is not better than the other, the only thing that matters is which one you are more comfortable using

Throttle for bikes is called a TWIST throttle.

Throttle for quads is called a THUMB throttle.

Both work just fine. The best throttle is the one you are most comfortable with. One is not better than another.

Thumb throttle is usually easier for beginners. If you want to switch your twist throttle back to a thumb throttle, let us know, we can probably help you find the parts you need.

I use twist throttle on my quad and I like it because I can last longer and find it easier to hold on to my quad when going through jumps,whoops,turns etc.

I prefer the thumb over twist. Not very experienced with twist so it makes it harder for me to controll. As my body makes movements my arm & hand move up and down.. makes twist accellerate & decellerate thru rough terrains. I have more controll with thumb throttle.

You should only need the thumb throttle and the cable, nothing else. You will also need to know how to connect it, maybe look at another 400EX and compare.

You will probably also need new grips when you are done.

I don't know anybody that has one for sale, but you can try the Classified Section (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=13) or make a new post in the Wanted Section (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=33). Somebody will be able to help you, even if it isn't me.

You can also try ebay. Many people are not willing to ship overseas, so I would ask seller first before placing a bid. Something like item # 290101331094 should be perfect for you.
