is the rear shock linkage for 87-89 the same? service honda is selling a separate one for the 86 and then another for 87-89. i know that the 86-87 had a different style swingarm than the 88-89 had. right now i bought my 89 with the adjustable rear strut but i do mx and i really dont think that it would be too good for it.

the wishbones are the same but the dog bone is whats different...i think the 86-87 dog bone is longer then the 88-89

if you use a ajustable dog bone or strut any year will work

you can use an 86/87 link, your quad will just sit a little lower.

is it a good lower or bad. like would it have any bad effects on the shock or handeling. this is an mx quad so i wanna make sure that it will still handle good. seems to me with it being lower it will lower the center of gravity and make it handle better.

it should be fine to have it sit lower...what kind of front shocks do you have? are they height adjustable? if you need a dogbone i have one, its for an 86 i believe.

it has PEP ZPS shocks on the front on a JB racing +3 +1 front end. The rear is a stock rebuild from PEP. i bought it this way and im trying to get a zps rear to match the fronts.
