06 starting..

I had a thread a couple weeks ago about my R turning over fine and all n not starting..

What i got in my replies is the decompression system was off. So i took it to the shop and told him to do it. I called today and he said he adjusted it. It was off six one thousandths. It is not fully together yet so i dont know if that was the fix.

Do u think it will start or not?

I would ask the shop to throw a compression gauge on it. When my 450 was new the decompression was giving it 20 psi durning cranking. I adjusted it up to 80-85 psi and it started much better. Just a thought, good luck

I just reset my decomp when I shimed my valves and I did notice it starting faster

after i installed my hrc cam i forgot to check the decompression and it wouldnt start at all. i then re adjusted the decompression and it starts fine now.

What were the symptoms? Did it crank n crank but just never fire? Could u hear it trying to start?

Well it wasnt the decompression..

He checked the compression n its low..

oh well you guys made it seem like you just turned a knob and it changed the compression
