2-stroke,4-stroke?Ex?BanShee?.......CANNONDALE!!

Hey im makin this thread becuz i have seen alotta discussion thru threads talking bout modding 400's to keep up with banshees or r's. And how why spend a couple grand on a 4stroke when you can spend much less on a 2-stroke and gain big power gains. Well i have heard many times how 400's cant hang with the big boys and at the dunes they have trouble makin it up the hillz. I dont see how you can spend thousands of dollars into these quads to make them jus as fast as a banshee with pipes and such or like as fast as some 250r's. I have ridin banshees, 250r's , raptors, 400ex, z400 that all my friends have but not a cannondale. Cannondales are so expensive but yet i heard they r so fast. I have never raced one nor, driven 1. Have any of you and wat are your opinons. I would think, why by a 400ex and put a thousand or so to hang with shees when you could by a cannondale? I have always wanted a cannondale besides that they are the ugliest quad ever but they are so damn much money? Anyways i just want to know what you think about 400ex at the dunes and how they do?? Im heading to Glamis or buttercup in california colombus day and halloween, its gonna be crazy there i cant wait!!!!

the new c dale glamis looks sick it is expensive but probably sick for dunes, the only thing is i have heard mixed things about the reliabilty of c dales, as for dropping a lot of money into ex's people do that because speed is the only real downside to the 400ex. its easier to make something go daster then to have it handle better...just my .02

Ya thats true... and a good point, those new glamis c dales do look pretty sick, i want one so bad but ther so much $$$

save your money and biuld a yz426 quad or get a 450f thats what i want but i think it would be better to get the wr450f because the yz450f only has a 4 speed trans i dunno

Price is a big thing
400ex=5000 plus 1500 for 440,pipe kit=6500
raptor=6500 plus 1000 in hop ups=7500
c-dale=7500 plus 1000 in hop ups=8500
bshee=5500 plus 1500 in hop ups=7000
you add just you basic add ons up(pipe,air filter,rims&tires) and it is alomst 1000
You take my 440ex and it will hang with almost everything. I go to glamis almost every weekend and i beat piped raptors all the time. modded shees are another story. but the reliability of the two are night and day.

I have people all the time ask me why in the he!! I would build a 400EX for a drag racer instead of a banshee!! Well its simple, go build a Banshee and no matter how fast you build the damn thing someones going to have a faster banshee!!! Everyone, their brother, and their dogs has a built Banshee!! now how many 400EX's do you see built??? Not that many!!! Fact is I have a lot better chance of winning with a 400EX in the 4 stroke class than i do with a helluva banshee in the 2 stroke class!!! Thats why i built a 400EX,,,but dont get me wrong,, my next project will be a 250R!!!!!!

thats a good point chadexer, banshees are like the most popular and ther is always someone faster.....400's r a different story , they are more rare in that way.

HEy man Get a four stroke no matter what...If you got the money to get a c-dale then get that,but if u are low on funds go with a 400ex...Its a 4 stroke that is as dependible as they get.
