400ex grab bar

Anyone ever change there grab bar on a 400ex. i was looking at the AC grab bar looks like i would have to cut and weld my sub frame.

you coulod get away with taking the tool box mount off (cut it off..) and then weld tabs onto the frame.. thats what im doing as soon as we fix our welder

i have a prm for my wofe's 400ex....it mounts with u-bolts...

bigfish....what quad is that grab bar for? and what did you need to do tho make the mounts for it?

I just cut mine off and drilled 4 holes and the 250r grab bar mounted up.

The grab bar is an '88-'89 250r/ '04-'05 450r. I used threaded round bar for the rear mounts and welded on nuts for the front mounts

god i wish my quad was as mint as that....Id love to take mine apart and do that
