Which steering stabilizer do you's recommend?...considering i dont have much extra money to spend on one right now, which do you's think is a good, reliable stabilizer for a reasonable price?

Thanks,
Landon

Well if you don't have $350.00 to $400 to spend I would sugget a Dention or SRP. (both the same just different stickers.)

They cost about $120.00 new and are rebuildable. Just do some searching on the net.

I just sold 2 of them used for about 80.00 each.

And yes they do help a lot. Just not as good as the Presision, Elka or Oliens.

the precision is deffinatly the best to get but if you dont have the money then definatly go with a stick type. Gibson makes a decent one, they are all really the same when it come to the stick type, you can get rebuildable or non-rebuildable and the rebuildable is definatly the way to go to get the best bang for your buck

Thanks for the replies. After doing some research, i think, when i get a stabilizer, that i will probably get the gibson 7way rebuildable steering stabilizer. its like $160. would this be a good choice for me to go with?

I've had Gibson for years and they work fine. All the rebuildable stick type stabilizers are the same, they just put different stickers on them.
Personally, I just switched to a Precision because I didn't like how the Gibson fit the LTR.

I had a stick type and switched to precision when I got my LTR, never go back to a stick.

The adjustability of the precision is awesome.

If you spend the time riding one you would throw the stick away.

I just got a Elka and it was by far the best money i have spent. I havent tried any other brand but i can speek for the adjustibility of the Elka. Once you get it where you like it you can make minor adjustments based on track conditions.

If you can get a good enough deal on the stick type, you can run 2 stick style stabilizers. This will help a lot more than one stick.

I dont mean to be a nub or anything but what does a stabilizer do exactly?

It takes the impacts out of the steering. When you hit a hole or rock without one it tries to rip the bars out of your hands, but WITH one you barely feel it.
