and i have a 04 yfz450 motor blown crank and plastics, seat, carb, airbox, radiator, electrical, ignition box..

i have ordered wr450f hotrods crank, athena 480 kit for motor, yosh rs-7 full exhaust system, kibble white valves and springs, oil mod...

i am wondering if anyone here has put the yfz plastics on a 400ex frame and if so any pics? and maybe if you anyone has the yfz450 motor in this frame with pics and any advice thanks....

Yfz plastic on 400ex is pritty easy but the bars come close to the plastic when you turn.

I put raptor 660 plastic on my ex. Front fitted with 2 brackets made up. Gas tank cover fitted good. Rear plastic battory box had to be cut out. seat needed omf seat bracket. All fit pritty good. Looked like a full blown Mx raptor. To get the yfz motor in the frame you do pritty much the same thing you would need to do as with the yz426/450 motor.

sounds good you have any pics of that raptor. and did you use the 400ex gas tank or raptor gas tank? and when you cut the battery box did you cover it bak up or you left it cut out?

would like to see some pics get an idear, also for the radiator mounts, and the seat....

no pics used the stock ex tank. The battory box just got cut out and left that way. It needed to be cut out cause it was in the way of the air box.

For got their was a slight gap between the rear plastic and front plastic but when riding your legs whould hide it and the gap didnt look to bad.
