Well I just ordered a new set of 20 inch Kenda Klaws, because my 18 inch ones were worn down. And they had too little amount of ground clearence. Now that i already ordered my new tires i feel like I'm gonna be at a big loss of acceleration with 20's. I mean i do have a Hotcam and airfilter and HMF pipe. I just feel like I'm gonna be a slowpoke when I accelerate now, although its probably a 2 MPH difference. So my questions is am i being a little over reactive.? I mean i can buy a 13 tooth and gain like twice the accel i had b4 and still have my ground clearence. But i dont know is this tire change going to hurt my acceleration speed and torque alot?

btw i ride trails

It will affect it, but probably not enough for a trail rider to worry about.

Ground clearance is more beneficial then SLIGHTLY faster acceleration.

That's a 10% change so it will be significant. However perception isn't always reality.

Try it before you make any sprocket changes just because. You may like it better.

FYI, moving down to a tooth in front will be about a 7% change the other way so you would still be taller by about 3% than now. You probably wouldn't notice that amount.
