Now that Kawi and Suzuki have a near race-ready 450 Quad out and KTM with one on the way on in the next few months. Will Honda or Yamaha Upgrade there current models other than graphics and other small changes to try and keep up? As in EFI(for both Mx and Xc), Wider a-arms and axles, 18in rear tires, smaller skids, ect for MX. Reniforced wheels, decent skids, more aggressive tires, ect. Even though they are both deffinatly proven in all aspects in racing, can they still compete with the other manufactuers when your average joe racer Goes to buy a bike he can race with competivly without dropping 1,500+ into suspension mods? What are ya'lls Opinions.....

i dont think any of the 450s will change unless the new KTM blows everything away witch could vary well happen....my bet would be the yamaha and honda r already working/thinking about a 250f race quad

I think Yamaha will probably put EFI on the 450. And Honda wont change anything, like always.

I don't think anything drastic will happen...but I guess you never know. My guess that Honda would be the last to put EFI on if they did it, but I honestly hope that they don't. I do NOT want a quad with EFI!...it is a waste IMO. I don't think that Honda or Yamaha will make a quad specifically designed for one "purpose" either- MX like the LTR, for example. They will probably make their share of changes again to go with the times, but it probably won't be anything over the top.

Yamaha and Honda will prob add EFI soon, maybe, and I go out on a limb here, honda, yamaha, and suzuki will go aluminum frame in a few years, but I doubt it.

Efi will be the new thing on all quads in like 09 and up
I dont think they have to change anything their perfect if you think about it why make it wider stock if you still new new a-arms and shocks if you get into racing.

Yamaha will change their frame geometery a bit. And see a new updated fuel injected four valve motor in 2009. And honda will stay the same until 2009 when they add fuel injection. Honda will add a new big bore in 08 to compete with the 700 raptor. And in 09 yamaha will release a new 250 four stroke that will replace the blaster.
Im looking forward to the new Can-am 450.

Yeah, and they will stay ontop like always.

Honda knows they are the best. Even if they arent number 1 on race day they still make the best atv's. They have confidence in their product so they dont waste time trying to play catch up.
