I have a set of 18" holeshot tires on plain ITP 8" rims for my trx450r.
Last time I went to the track, I put marks on the rim and tire, then after practice I saw the tires rotated half way around the rim. The next practice the tire popped of the bead. This has only happened on 8" rims.

Does anybody know a trick to stop tires from spinning on the rim?????

Maybee glue or heating the rim to melt the rubber?

umm, maybe less air pressure. haha.
Yea beadlocks sound lika winner. What type of lube did you use to get them on. If its something like wd-40 that lasts awhile and you just have to wait for it to dissapate.

my dads friend sprays some starter fluid in the tire and lites a match and throws it in the tire and it sound like a shoot gun goin off and it sets the bead. but this was on a big truck tire... for like a dump truck, milk truck. simi i dont know if it will work on a 18'

Yeah, 15psi is way too much. Heck, I'm running 3-4 in mine.

The old eather trick. That works well, especially on larger truck type tires. I've seen it done on car/truck tires as well. Jeeps too. I haven't seen it done on a quad tire though. If you try it, be careful, you are creating an explosion!!!

Try some tire slime from auto zone

super glue it.Jk. Yeah its probably that starter fluid they put on it to get the tire on. your best bet is to take the tire off again and clean the wheel off and mount it again. or beadlocks can be another alternative. But I dont run beadlocks and this doesnt happen to me.

PEOPLE, DON'T USE ETHER. IT'S LIKE PLAYING RUSSIAN ROULETTE. ONE OF THESE TIMES YOU'RE GONNA GET THE BULLET.

Seriously, don't use ether, people have died trying that.

You shouldnt have any ting between the rim and tire. If you had a car shop put the tires on they always use sealing grease which is slippery black grease and makes a good chance for the rims to spin in the tires.

but the rim spinning and/or coming off the rim is the reason they make bead locks.
