I am new to the 2 stroke scene. And have acquired a Duncan Racing 340 PV engine after my supposedly new CT 310 took a dump. My question is what am I looking at for jetting on this baby.

My current setup in the carb is:

Carb: Keihin PJ 38mm
Model: PJ38DGDKD
Main Jet: 175
Pilot: 42
Air Screw: 1 1/2 out
Elevation: 1,155ft above sea level

This is what it had for the 310. Let me know if I'm in the ball park or which way I should go. Also I want to point out the 310 acted like it was rich. Thanks.

Your pilot is to lean you should be at 48 to 52 and 175 to 185 on your main.

Thanks. Also what do you think I should ask for the CT310 cylinder? The engine had the crank go out and bend the rod. But the cylinder is in decent shape. Probably needs a hone or a bore job. It will come with the 5mm spacer plate, and the cylinder head. I'd like to get rid of it. Just pm me what you think. Thanks.

I just got one of these motors myself. I think mine has a 180 main jet. The guy I got mine from give me the jet kit from duncan and told me to play with it. He said they can be tempermental about the jetting at times. How do you like you motor so far?
