this is my third 400, so ive been through the jetting process before but im just wondering what would be the best for a perfectly running engine. ill have a sparks key, LRD slip-on, uni filter with no air box lid, and i will get a cam in the future(dont know if that requires rejetting or not) and i might get a rev box but iono about that.

i was thinking, a 160 main, clip dropped one notch on the needle, but how far do you think the air/fuel mixture should be? and do you think putting a 42 pilot in would be the worth the trouble?

with you living in Illinois(sp? I'm sucking tonight) i would reccomend that. I got a filter and pipe but havent had to change my pilot jet. Its still good and passes the test and is easy to crank, but i live in the south. it was 50 and 60 all winter here. Maybe some 40* days. I'm running a 158 main.

Go with a 158 main, if it's always easy to start just leave the stock pilot in, but you could aleast bump it to a 40 pilot without being to rich.
