i'm putting together a banshee motor and i was wondering what the equivalent of yamabond 4 was. so maybe i don't have to go and buy some.

yamabond 4 is a silicone RTV like permatex, but its tougher and seals better. most yamaha shops have it and its not too much. its not blue loctite though.

anaerobic gasketing will that work good or just be a waste of time.

yamabond 4 is a semi drying aerobic sealer. GM uses anaerobic sealer (the red gel) on transfercases and such which are machined surfaces like your cases, so it should work. but i would personally use the yamabond 4/5 or hondabond. they really are the best, in my opinion. the ultrablack like above is also pretty good.

three bond 1104 is the same as yamabond and cost 4-7 bucks i ran out and had to go to yamaha and a tube of yamabond was 16.95 and didnt include the vasoline! damn stealership

:eek2: it was only $5 at the dealer near me. some of the earlier manuals even recommended the three bond.

16? i wouldn't be going back there again.

I think i gave 6 bucks for mine.

4 is all i use though.
I've used 5 before, and it got completely hard,
I've not used 3? don't really know what it's exactly used for
