I would just use a tire plug kit from an auto store. We have run plugged tires for miles and miles without leaks. If you want a patch, just take the wheel and tire to an automotive tire shop and they can do the rest. It is possible to debead the tires yourself but it can be a pain. Might do a search on de-beading tires as it has been discussed at length.

Again, I would just plug it and ride. Just my $.02

what I would do is plug the hole with a kit. If you want to debead the tire let all the air out and take your car, other atv, or a truck a (slowly) run on to the adge of the tire, not the rim. if that doesnt work use the other guys advise. And yes we jump alot of are atvs and the plugs dont leak at all.

Plugs hold up just fine.

You're only running about 5-7psi.

A little soap and water, find the bubble spot. Shive in a plug, cut it off, all done. I actually carry a set in my tool pouch that I ride with.

In all honesty you probably have more of a chance at a persistent leak by unmounting and remounting a used tire on a used rim. ;)

I've had to put a plug in every set of tires I've owned. Never had a problem out of any of them. Just cut it below the tread and you will be fine.

yea just plug it. I've had to put 3 plugs in a hole on a hoosier 59in and it was even above the tread and still lasted and its had 3 races on it. Plugs work fine. If its a small hole find the smaller plugs for the smaller holes.

I would patch it personally but simply because I can do that myself. It will easily cost you $10 to do that at a tire shop, and it wouldn't surprise me if it's $15.

You can use a plug and probably never have a problem with it as well. I've used plugs before and never had a problem with them again and I've also had to redo them.

Go get some plugs at walmart. THey are like little sticky strands. They work great. Or just bring it to a tire shop and they will probably plug it up for you.
