I've got an 05 400ex with no performance mods except for HMF slip on. I need to know what will give me the biggest bang. air filter? air box? rev box? any other ideas? My buddy got me this weekend in a drag mainly on top end. I had him off the start but he pulled away at the end. Thanks in advance

buy a header, k&n air filter will make it better, oh yea and jet it if you havent already done so. another cheap mod is put a 14 tooth sprocket on the front, it will give your bike way more acceleration but it will kill your top end slightly so if you wanna beat him on top end thats perhaps not a gd idea. a stage 2 hot cam will give you s**t loads of mid range and top end, so thats a possibility. depends how much you wanna spend lol, same with anything really

first i would take off that HMF or what were you call that junk. then i would put a full FMF pipe yeah FMF then a K+N and put a 440cc kit on it and then you will win

The HMF is a great pipe...yeah HMF you f'n tool.

My buddy has an 06 z400 with yosh exhaust, k&n, outerwears, and airbox lid off.

I'm definetly getting the filter, but wasn't too sure about the rev box. I also saw a 416 kit and stage 1 hotcam on ebay for 280. Is that a good price for the both?

yea thats what i mean lol. i run a 400ex with a k&n air filter and a powercore 4 no serious mods, im just starting to get into a bit of racing now, so no doubt i shall do a few more things. trouble is i live in the u.k and i have to import all my bits from the u.s which is expensive and takes ages lol:(
wot do you run?

is it new or used? i personally don't like rev boxes, they run your battery down and makes your bike harder to start in the cold, also i don't like the idea of running a motor 1000rpm over what it should
