what the best improvement 100$ can get you? ive asked it before but didnt like the asnwers i dont think

or add $40 to that and get a Hotcam Stage 2. I just put one on my quad and the power increase was awesome.

curtis sparks degree key 20 dollars and worth the money i plan on pickin mine up in a few days

Some handgaurds are a great investment if ya do any woods ridin. Also an air filter would be a good investment. Ya couple probably get both of them for around 100.

i really dont feel like rejetting my quad again because im gonna get the spark plug perfect now with my pipe on and thats gonna be the first time i can ride my quad for a while but this degree key. what that all about? handguard...i already have asv levers and i dont understand the point of having them if i bought handguards?

I forgot to add that you should get the bumper that I have in my last post, lol.

The hand guards are great if you ever ride tight trails or in the woods. They protect your hands from little branches and weeds. I didn't think they did much until I rode my buddies all stock 400ex and beat the crap out of my knuckles even with my gloves on.

The Spark advance key will advance your spark 6 degrees. This adds some power and makes your engine run hotter. I'm not sure how much hotter but they are only recommended for stock or slightly modified motors.

Buy $100 worth of gas and just ride. Seat time is one of the best mods you can have.

The best advise I've ever heard. $100.00 doesn't buy much in todays world but a tank of gas and a great place to ride is priceless.

Or $50 of gas and $50 in motor oil and filter.

IMO the next mods you are gonna want / need are alot bigger bux.

The only other thing I can think of is a PEP steering stabilizer. But that's more like $180.

what does the steering stabilizer do ?because my steering is absolutley horrilbe its so tight and hard to turn like yeah i can still get around easy but i ride a 300ex and then my quad i have a houser steering stem and its something over there. Also what does advancing my timing 6 degrees going to do cause all i have is an hmf slip on pipe to my engine but do i have to rejet for it?

The steering stabilizer is a shock absorber that slows down the speed the bars will move when you hit a bump.

It actually will stiffen up your steering further.

Without one, your bars should move pretty freely.

So, my suggestuion is to spend that $100 getting your already way too stiff steering situation fixed.

i have no clue what it is something on the steering stem its way better now that i loosened the handlebar clamp thats on it but its not that bad actually. any ther ideas it can be like up to 200 dollars actually

you should save your money or look for a good deal on some 450r front shocks or after market shocks.
Your quad will handle so much better.

Shocks, Good fuel (92/93) Steering stabalizer, Timing key, PACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! My 400 isn't the fastest nor am I but, Wednesday I smoked a couple of guys at Tremont. I believe it's because I'm in good shape and I ride alot. Get to know your quad like the back of your hand and you will be able to push it to it's limits instead of it pushing you to yours.

For me, the best speed enhancement would be a gym membership.

Lemme clarify - a gym membership that I actually use.

I don't have a gym membership but, Uncle sam makes sure I get alot of cardio and strength training. most people I ride with are faster than me, all I do is keep with them cuz, they get tired alot faster than me. Thats when I walk alover them.

when u say Tremont.. are you referring to Rausch Creek MX park?? just curious cuz i live in Newtown which is about a mile outside of tremont... i was up Rausch with some friends.. get at me .. maybe we can get a ride together..
