What is the best way for me to go on my air filter for a 250ex, I race xc. Should I go with a uni or knn? If u say the knn should i get an outerwears and or a precharger? What is the difference beetween the two?

thanks in advance

Can't really answer that in a poll.

For MHSC XC Racing, it get's pretty damn dusty at times. (When it's not horribly muddy.. lol)

The K&N w/ an outerwears filters pretty good. But the UNI does have better filtration ant the expense of a little flow.

On a 250ex. UNI. If it were a 450R it would be a harder choice, but the UNI will have more than enough flow for the 250ex.

All that being said either one is better than stock. ;)

Ya the uni will outpreform the k&n in dusty conditions. Its foam filtering works better to block dust.

I only run foam filters. I just don't trust K&N for some reason and they just seem overly expensive and talked up.

As previously stated about k&n filters they flow excellent but in dusty or muddy conditons that flow comes at the expense of letting debris through the filter which in turn goes into the cylinder which means scarring of the cylinder walls which leads to top end rebuild after time.

k'n makes good car filters or truck filters where it dosnt get as dusty
foam is the only way to go

Get the k&n filter. I gives you more power and you dont have to clean it as much as a uni filter.
