Heres a pic of me on my HRC 06 450ER versus my buddy on his cam advanced, piped, and jetted YFZ in the foreground. It a crappy pic but you get the idea. The funny thing is not long after we were done racin his YFZ locked up and wouldnt turn over the rest of the trip. He was towed in by a 450 foreman. Makes me smile.........Ride Red

those hrc 06/07 450r's with a good rider will suprise alot of people.

what year yfz? the 06/07 450r is supposedly faster than the 06/07 yfz anyway. But if it was an 04/05 yfz than you should have spanked him anyway.

Do you know why it locked up yet? If it didn't have to do with jetting then good, but if it was running lean and locked up...well that means he could have kicked ur *** big time if his jetting was right. Don't laugh at a lock up...my 04R is going strong (120+hours) but it's always in the back of my mind.

probably lower end failure, only the 07 yfz has a oil squirter


my cuzin dealt with the same issue... yamaha always seem to be behind with there stuff.. that why i like honda

It was an 06 YFZ and he had it about a year. He rides hard too so who knows we havent tore into it yet. We finally got it to turn over though so its not completely locked up. It may have gotten real hot and locked up and then when it cooled it was able to crank again. Somethings definitely wrong though. Any help would be appreciated.
