Laughing? I would be crying if I wrecked a nice car like that, hes rich anyway, he could probably buy a new one. That sucks to ruin a car like that though.

It wasn't staged at all. There is another video on the Yahoo news front page showing some more detail. The car's actual owner was upset, but stated "it is what it is". They were practicing for an upcoming film "Redline" when the Enzo was crashed.

1.5 million to him is pocket change .

He probably either bought the guy a new car or got it fixed .... and gave him some cash to play around with .

If you donate your car for a celebrity to race in a charity race , you already know the consequences of what might happen . The're actors and celebs , not professional race car drivers . I'm sure the owner of the car didn't just walk away with a busted up 1.5million dollar car .

Being it was the movie producer's car ... I'm sure it was paid off already .

His quote after he went back to the trailer " Worst things happen to people in life ... this is nothing" or something along those lines . I heard it this morning .

03-28-2007, 01:12 PM
if it was paid off and he has that much money, he probally has full coverage, only poor people like us have PLPD

shouldn't that car handle a little bit better than that? That thing pushed the front wheels worse than a yamaha warrior.

It was not staged. He was test driving it for the movie REDLINE and he crashed into the wall on accident.

I think it was the producers car.

Saw it on tv.

Got this from website

IRWINDALE, CALIF. — Eddie Griffin crashed a rare Ferrari Enzo worth $1.5-million (U.S.) into a concrete barrier while practising at a racetrack Monday, destroying the car but escaping uninjured.

The comedian was practising for a charity race to promote his upcoming film, Redline, when he drove too fast around a curve at the Irwindale Speedway. Video footage showed the red sports car screeching before it ricocheted off the barrier with heavy damage to its front.

“Undercover Brother's good at karate and all the rest of that, but the brother can't drive,” Griffin, referring to one his past films, said after the accident.

The film's publicist, Wendy Zocks, said Griffin was “doing okay.”

He walked away completely unscratched, but probably a little shaken,” Zocks said.

The Enzo was owned by the executive producer of Redline, Daniel Sadek, whose exotic car collection is featured in the movie.

Sadek said that the car was damaged beyond repair and that he had “mixed feelings” about the wreck.

“I'm glad Eddie came out of the crash okay, but my dream car got destroyed,” Sadek said. “I went to my trailer for about 15 minutes and I thought, there's people dying every day. A lot of worse things are happening in the world.”

Only 400 Ferrari Enzos were ever produced, all between 2002 and 2004.
