My 300ex needs new A arm bearings. I want to switch to the bushing system. What are the best ones to ho with?

I was looking on ebay and there is even metal bushings I don't know how good that would work. I was looking at putting the plastic bushings in. What is the way to go? I am keeping stock A arms.

I replaced mine with a kit from ??? can't remember the name. It was several years ago, they always had ads in DirtWheels for these and chain sliders.

Here are some different ones though:

Just found it in a search on a different forum of my old posts.

They are T.M. Designworks bushings.
I checked out their site and you can buy just the bushings for Honda. For Yamaha you can get bushings and sleeves.

I seen some kits that didn't come with the steal sleves. Is that not good?

Alot of times, you can reuse your orignal sleeves. Otherwise you'll have to get new ones from Honda.

A steel or alloy spacer tube is a good idea. Otherwise your bushing is rubbing on bolt threads.

I just pulled up the microfiche on the Arm assembly. I was shocked to see that there are actually bearing in there, Correct?

Now that I understand the situation better, I'll retract my previous statement about getting sleeves from Honda, because they don't make them. Not sure where to tell you to look for them, sorry.

I'm pretty sure that the 400ex dosen't have the bearings in there. They should fit the 300ex a arms so I have been looking at the 400ex kits. Do 300ex's have the sleves in them though? Or do I need a kit that comes with them?

Aye.. and to replace bearings and bushing on all 4 arms would be more than buying a new set of aftermarket chromoly a-arms, w/ bushing, tie rods, ball joints, etc..lol.

Yeah But those kits are less then 100 bucks even less if I don't need the sleves

You can get microfiche for the entire quad at www.ronnies.com

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to see. From what I can see I don't have those sleves so I need the kit that has the steel sleves and the bushings.
