this week really sucks guys--------

BAD ENOUGH WAS SUNDAY-- I RODE THREE LAPS ON MY NEWLY REBUILT 450ER FROM THE BOTTOM UP--- THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER LOCKED UP TIGHT AND NOW THE BIKE ROLLS LIKE ITS IN NEUTRAL--- ENDING MY DAY AND PROBABLY EMPTYING MY WALLET---

AND IF THAT WAS BAD ENOUGH---

I JUST RECIEVED MY REAR ELKA I ORDERED FROM ELKA LAST WEEK AND INSTEAD OF A DUAL RATE ELITE- THEY SENT ME A SINGLE RATE ELITE??????????????????????????

HAVIN A BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD WEEK AND I JUST NEEDED TO VENT-

THAT IS BEFORE I SPEND ALL NIGHT TEARING MY QUAD APART THAT I JUST FINISHED A MONTH AGO-

Looks nice tho.

Some times a single rate performes better than a dual.

Sry to hear about your bad luck.

I agree with Chee-Z rider, I sent my OEM rear shock to GT Thunder and they set up my rear for a aftermarket linkage with a single rate spring!

Time to get your hands dirty and get to tearing apart, I am in the same boat, just waiting for parts!

It may be your crank, hopefully it did not tear up your cases like mine did!

Good luck!

I got ya, sorry missed the part that it would run, sounds like the infamous 06 shift for wearing out in this case!

Just my $.02!

Let us now if they are chewed up or discolored in any way when you pull the forks out!

Good luck!

By the way.. my 04 did the same thing.. Took it apart and the shift fork was bent for 4th to 5th.. Honda claims it was a hard shift or without the clutch.. Something stupid. I claim Honda was bein gay and had no idea!

Good luck pullin it back apart.. :(

thats why the pros run the 05's because of the second generation tranny problem. Sorry to hear about your troubles tho.

Really nice rebuild btw.

thanks for the compliments guys----- and i talked to elka about my rear shock---- with the gt link for 06 it IS only sposed to be a simple rate rear shock---- that comes straight from rider support---in the mean time--- i been practicin it up on my 400ex that i have never had problems with--- to bad 450's aint as reliable as them bulletprroooof 400's !!!!!!!!
