Hey everyone! Pretty new here but thought Id let yall know that I just finished the restoration on the 04 400ex I got this spring. Guy that had it beat on it pretty hard and it was pretty rough. I ended up tearing it down to the frame and starting in from there, it started out as a bone stock red 400. I spent a load of time and some money and pretty well have it looking like I want. Ill start in on the performance end of things next! Ive poked around on here alittle but nothing major yet. Let me know what yall think about it!

The quad in general is great looking but I have to be honest, I'm not diggin the rims, I never cared for them type of rims. If you polish the pipe up thats a big plus. Overall it looks great.

Looks good.
He could always get pappy to powder the rims a stealth black to match the rest of the black.

Thanks for the input guys!
Im also going to get shock covers to cover the red springs up. I found some sweet looking carbon fiber warning label covers that Im gonna get to cover those up. The plastic is new and like I said I just got it all back together! Ive also got a new dirt screen for the front bumper coming that has the mud flap girl cut into it.
Personally I like the wheels! If I had more money I woulda picked up some Black Shammrocks or a set of Hipers but couldnt swing that, this was all done on a shoe string budget. Id like to have a set of Elka shocks and Laegar a arms too... but wasnt in the cards! Keep the opinions comin though!

I like it! The only thing I don't care for is how the bars match it's stance, but what is that but rider preference!

I love the black, Looks nice. I think it would look nicer with some different colored graphics though instead of yellow and black. Nice though.:)

Shocks or some cool yellow shock wears would set it off!

I honestly think the yellow shock wears are gunna make it look "cheap"
The red springs brake up the yellow and black nicely.
I like it....

i love everything but the graphics and stock shocks
IMO get some shocks and then start getting into the motor
and i only like plain graphics so dont just take my opinion
very nice though keep it building

The reason I went the all black route is because I hadnt seen anyone else do it! I dont want my quad to look just like everyone elses!
Thanks everyone! Im planin on gettin new shocks and a arms whenever money allows it. Till then the stock stuff will have to get me by.

That looks awesome!
Would you care to grab a picture from the front for me?
I'm really debating on getting the blackline bumper, I just don't know if it would look too big for my taste.
Thanks!

i dint really like the two different kinds of tires i know they are both ITP but not the same.
the bars seem too low and too far back and i am not feeling the rims...nothing is a substitute for hipers...

i almost bought those graphics when mine was red...but i decided to go white and never looked back
good luck with the c-series rims if you decide to do any major riding..,they say right on them..."not for competition use"...to me, that means weak...that is why i sold the set i bought before i even mounted them...

i think it looks awsome! sure shocks, new rims, and a bar pad would make it looks better. but the way it is now is still sick

Thank You Very Much! Thats why I thought. I know Hipers, Elkas, and other HIGH dollar parts make it that much nicer but I cant afford that stuff so I had to work with what I had! Glad to see a few people are on my side.
