What year is it and what mods do you have?

Make sure your fuel is clean, 93 octane, and dry. This is a streach, but on whoops or hills, you might be shaking up you bowl on the carb that might have water in it...... Sitting outside, you need to add some fuel treatment!

Mine does the same when I pull the clutch in when I am in third or slowing from high speeds. It will either stall or bog and I have to rev it to keep it going. What is it?

Some of the 2004 models had little plastic shavings in the fuel tank. I would clean out the carb and remove the tank and drain it. Then try to clean it out.

Be sure to check the fuel filter while you are in there. It's yellow, and you should see it when you remove the fuel line from the carb.

how hard is it 2 clean the carb and is it hard 2 put back 2gether and as far as the fuel filter should i just replace it... also with the fuel tank should i run it almost empty take it off rinse it with water and air dry for a day or two would that b good enough?

sorry for so many questions im not to good with engines but dont wanna pay the ridiculous labor prices at the dealership

this is probably a stupid suggestion but is your idle set correctly

and i wouldnt wash the tank out with water try sum type of petroleum product like sea foam the stuff works miracles dump a little of that in your gas and it wil really clean out your carb good

just some suggestions

the stuff works great on just about anything 2strokes,4strokes,diesels, and jsut about anything with a motor. it is in a white metal can with red lettering, and you can get it at any automotive store.

my cousin throw some of it into a 1970's artic cat integra snow mobile and it clean gunk out of the carb from 30 yrs ago and it ran like a raped ape.:D

take a look at it the next time you are in town to see all the benifits of it

if you can't pull your carb off, tear it down to clean properly then youshould pay to have someone do it for you! especially if you want to "rinse it out with water" what the hell is wrong with you? clean a fuel tank with FUEL, i think your quad would be much better off in the hands of someone that has SOME idea , and as for your problem i don't think that you would understand the steps you may have to take to diagnose the problem, let alone fix it. PAY AN OUTRAGOUS PRICE FOR SOME EXPERT TO FIX IT. If you don't understand your machine why do you think what shops charge is outragous?

this may sound silly, but my buddies did the same thing. He had a mud dobber build a nest in the vent line off the filler cap. It would not let the quad get enough gas under load. Once cleaned of the nest, ran fine. He used a long peice of wire to clean it with. Worth a try and it is free.:D
