hey....lookin to get a ride scheduled for there early in the spring. sorry for posting so early but maybe we could get tons of people there if everyone had plenty of time to prepare and make plans.

well...we havent had a ride there lately so i wanna go. i am sure it will fill up and be a blast . gonna do hatfeild again in teh spring also. better get me some paddles:rolleyes:

I would come but 12 hours of driving doesnt seem much worth it.
I may think bout HM next Spring, but its dobutful.

striker..that would be like a 5 hour drive..you should do it but i don't think you'll be climbing alot with a 250ex.. no dis intended but a stock 400 slacks *** out tere

i'm def in pappy... my dad already told me any time i ever want to go to the sand dunes he'd take me i just never had anyone to ride with so this is my reason... i'm pretty sure i'll be bring derek6672 and mayb racerx573 along with me!!!

Ehy, I forgot bout that. I was 5 hours from ya taking my drivers test. ;)
And SMA, it takes around 11-12 hours to get to Detroit from here.
And my 250 is all screwed right now. Nail through the right rear, bald front tires, smashed front bumper b/c of the bald tires and a tree...and the valves need revalving or whatever you wanna call it. So its setting in the garage on a car jack. :rolleyes:
I wouldnt come with my 250...and prolly wont to HM.

There is usually still snow on the ground. :confused: It might be a little chilly?
it opens for the year the 1st of april. yo have to have a spark arrestor and be under 94db i think. you have to have a 8 or 9 foot flag. it opens at 8am and closes at 10 pm..tat all i can remeber

Depends on the date for me pappy, Even though Im in Louisiana, I may go. ROAD TRIP!!!
I get my liscense in febuary, so if its After that (I guess it will be, being spring) I may be in. Now thats AT LEAST 12hrs for me :D

you can buy the flag at the gates..theres a shop there called david allen racing..they have alot of crap in there,,including race gas outside..i know my hetricks pipe has no chance to get in so i am gonna buy a supertrap ids pipe if i am going

well...i am hoping to do a 4 week road trip ...maybe this summer but probly next. start on the west coast and work my way across the country ridin different areas, should be a blast!!!!

Where did you hear such a thing? We were just up there a few weeks ago and I did not see one person doing that. I also though they were very laxed on the pipes. They just stuck a rod up your pipe to see if you had a core in it.
Awesome place! A group of us are planning a trip up there again next spring.

I was gonna go last summer, but something came up, set a date, I'm there! Kenny, that road trip sounds awsome! I would love to come along for that, it would be one of the highlights of a life time! Dont know if I can swing it for a summer, I have college to pay for:(. Maybe I can get the quadshop scholorship, I am going to work for them ya know...lol.

Set a date, and we'll be there. With at least 2, possibly as many as 5. I know there is a couple of guys that have not signed in yet that would go.
Chckhawk and Rynmt have been there a bunch of times.
We need to set a schedule of group rides:

I haven't got there this year, but I have a friend that goes every other weekend usually. He rides a 370 shee and has no problem passing the db. You can just take your 4-wheeler off its trailor start it up and ride up to the entrance get checked and then enter the park. Everyone will need to have a michigan ORV sticker thats good for one year and I beilieve it costs 16 dollars. I can't remember but parking is 3 or 4 dollars a day. Like I said I haven't been there this year so hopefully a nother memeber that goes there quite often will be able to give more exact info.

This year we paid $16.25 for the yearly sticker and to park it is $4.00 per day. I think the $16.25 per year is really bad since Ohio only charges like $7.00 or $8.00 to register a quad for three years.
Overall, I think you can get your moneys worth at Silver Lake.
My buds DID have to push there machines ...
Perhaps this was because they went during the "Labor Day" w/e.
I am not sure why they did ...maybe they had to park somewhere further away due to the large crowd,maybe the parking lot(or whatever) was full ...
one of them even had a collision w/another rider .....which ended
his w/e after driving almost 7 hours..
...he told me it was very crowded almost to the point that it was dangerous ...
dont get me WRONG..
I am not saying this is not a good place to ride ...2R's

Your friends may have had to park in the overflow parking lot. That would suck to have to push your quad though. We got there each morning at 7:00am and they would not let us in until 9:00, but that guaranteed us a parking spot and we did not have to wait in a long line. When we went it was cold and rainy, but there seemed to be quite a few people there who didn't care what it was like.

Listen here litterfish the big exrider hatfield ride will be the last week of june so don't make it anytime around that,,but I think we'll have another full house no matter what,,,plus your little pansy butt is supposed to be at hatfield...you backin out already????:blah

I'll go ahead and get that shirt made and shipped for him to wear the entire weekend if he wants to hang out with us wierdos..:huh Well make him the official, quad cleaner, chitcycle cleaner and maintainer, beer getter, we'll put him on KP duty after the meals and if he's lucky we'll take him to the trail head to watch us go ride and let him hang out there to watch the trailers and stuff..:D
