thats a pretty tight budget, but a HMF slip-on pipe and k&n air filter would probably be the best for the money. you should just save up enough to buy a full pipe with a header.

And it happens to be the general consensus of this site. FMF's 4 stroke pipes leave alot to be desired.

since fmf stinks wat is the cheapest exhaust besides that.all i want is a slip on.

HMF. you can get it on ebay for 227 or something like that

HMF doesn't make a slip on for the 250. To tell you the truth i would just save the extra 10 bucks for the full HMF. That's the best bang for your buck by far. And you won't notice a whole lot of gains with just a slip on with the 250. Pretty much all the good quality slip on's are in the 300 dollar range.

my dad doesnt like me spending alot of money on my atv and he doesnt like how loud all the exhausts are.that is why i picked the megamax because it is the cheapest and u can control the sound.
wud the best thing to do is remove the baffle and put one of those endcaps on, get air filter , air box vents, and rejet?

the hmf is loud but i think u should get it the megamax is very little gains i wouldnt even buy the end cap stock or hmf thats my opinion

It will, my quad ran leaner once i switched from stock to UNI.

Rejetting will give you more power. find out what your elevation is, exrider12, and i'll give you a very close estimate as to where your jetting should be.

Yes. Racers would just run stock filters if there wasn't a difference.

Just for the record, The UNI does flow better than stock but the K&N flows even better than the UNI. I had a K&N filter then switched to a UNI and I had to rejet my carb because it was running rich! I'm now back with the K&N. And you should check into installing a bigger carb! I don't know bout the ex but on my 250x, that was one of the best mods i did! Just a thought.
