Does anyone know what all is needed to replace the left crankcase? I assume only the gasket and case. I didn't know if there was anything else. Also, will I have to dissamble the head and all of that to replace it? My three tabs broke off that hold my case saver  and now there is nothing there to hold it. I tried JB Weld and couldn't get it to hold when I put my bolts in.

it sounds like you will have to do a complete tear down. That is the only way I would think.

I would tear it down while you can and check the crank and shift forks while your in there. You don't want to do what I am doing.

Well, I bit the bullet and bought a new case, timing chain, and piston. Figured while I replaced the case, might as well put in a fresh rebuild. Also got a main bearing just in case.
