ANYBODY KNOW WHERE THERE ARE SOME GOOD PLACES TO RIDE AROUND CENTRAL ILLINOIS?

There is a place between Catlin and Fairmount IL. It is called The Mouth Of Jordan. Its a good riding place full of trails,creeks,rivers,steep hills and some jumps. I would recoment checking this and these others out. There is also a place called Central Foundry's out by Tilton IL. and if you want to travel a small amout there are the BADLANDS. ( Attica IN.)
I live in Galesburg, Illinois. It is about 40 minutes form Peoria. I have a few very good places I can ride anytime for free. A real good variety too. MX, trails, TT, hillclimbs you name it. I ride a lot, so get ahold of me, and we could may be ride together sometime.

Let's get something going with the riders in Central and Northern Illinois. I would hold the ride here, and I would even bbq for it, or I will drive to wherever. We only have so much good weather left.

What part of IL you looking for? Im an hour east of St Louis. I know of some places down here that are good.
You need to come to Morrison on October 26 and watch or ride "The Race". Should be 50 plus quads. Normally there is a 20 mile course that is done 3 times. I'm 95% sure I'm going to give it a whirl. It would be worth the trip for you.
We do need to meet up. What do you have going on the weekend of November 9th? Maybe we could hook up that weekend.
Ya, I would like to ride anytime. As far as the 9th of November I am game. I have nothing planned. Is this a woods race? Where is Morrison?
I used to work out of Centralia. I am game for about anything. The reason I thought the place I ride would be good is because of the variety. We have a real good mx track, A well taken care of tt track, some trails, and a for real nasty hill climb. There are bbq pits there. I have access to a club house with bathrooms, a fridge, and a phone. I will ride anywhere though. I need to take a day off soon. I prefer to go somewhere that I can ride mx though, but I am open to toher things. I just don't want to submerge a $12,500. quad in mud and get it all scratched up by tree limbs and stuff. I need to buy a 400EX too.
Morrison is about an hour fifteen minutes from Galesburg. Take 74 north to 88 and take 88 east. The race location is just off the interstate. The race has everything - woods, mud, corn field crossings, mx track. If your worried about scratching your quad, you don't want to do this race, because your quad will be muddy and it will get scratched. It still would be worth coming too watch - There will be riders from all over.
As for November 9th, I don't think that day will work, what other weekend will work for you?
I can ride about anytime. I can just call in sick to work. Shoot another time at me. During the week or weekend would be alright. What is your work schedule like?

a good place to go is Flatriver, or St Joes State Park, very good place to go, its in missouri though, about an 1hr or so south of ST L

Try unitedoffroadracing.com for the web address. The race will be in Morrison, IL zip code is 61270 so you can look it up on mapquest.com - probably 2 hours from elgin. The place is right off interstate 88 which is the road you would take to Morrison.
I plan on giving the race a try - I'm currently putting new axle bearings in, so hopefully I'll have the bike together by then.
Just fine - I work 8 to 5 weekdays. I would be interested in meeting you at Walnut sometime. Have you ever raced there?
Has anyone been to 3caves? Its sounds interesting. We do need to meet up sometime.

Have you ever heard of planet extreme motorsports park. Its in Mason which is just south of Effingham. Its got everything you would need for an exriders group ride.

Planet extreme is cool as ****. I just got word that I am the Quad A champ there this year. Definitely a fun track but call before you go there. They arent all that quad friendly. Mo:rolleyes:
Where in relation to Springfield is this place located?
Everybody check out sunsetridgemx.com , and see if it sounds like a place you guys would like to ride. Then check the three dates they have left, and we all can meet up, and ride there. Seems like a decent location for most people in Central and Northern Illinois. Let me know guys. I think a Illinois EXriders' ride would be fun.

If your refering to planet extreme it would be east of springfield to I-57, then south to effingham. Its in mason which is just south of effingham.
Sunsetridge is too far up for north for me to be going there.
If anybody wants to meet up. I will be a at Walnut(sunsetridgemx) on either next saturday or sunday. I will post the day I am going to go for sure. Would be nice to see some of you there.

I live maybe an hour away from planet X-treme. Ive been wanting to go there for a long time. I might need to make a trip up there sometime.
