im selling my lt250r and building my 300ex to compete in the 4 stroke c class. im tring to find the right motor 300ex, 350x or 250r. im thinking 350x or 250r but not shure what one. what u all think? its getting a long travel front and 450r shocks front and rear with a 350x rear end thats already on it. im not goin to buy a 450 or any thing cause in a year or so im getting a race ready z440.

if you like a 2 stroke i would go with that but i have seen a 350X witha 12:1 piston it looked fast. but that was in a ATC on STREETFIRE.NET. you should go to the site and type ATC and watch the video

i had the same dilemma,i didnt want to butcher my 250r frame to run my big bore 350x motor so i used my big bore 300ex motor instead

nice hybrid

im looking to make it run with the 450s so i need all the power i can get. im realy thinking a 350x motor is good choice. im thinking of running a 300ex head instead cause i dont want the powroll crap pipe. will i lose any power with it. im going to run a 300ex full pipe system if i do. i wont one port not 2.

I imagine you will have a "mid range" motor running the samllish 300ex head. However if you chose your components wisely and let them complement each other,a mid range powerband will be beneficial for mx or woods.Get yourself a torque cam and a good free flowing exhaust. My 300ex motor runs with my 350x motor,if anything it seems to rev a bit quicker, kinda like a mx bike. It'll still compete on a mx track where i'll be giving up 12hp or so to piped 450s,but no bigge, most local quad riders can barely hang on after 2 laps:) hp isnt everything

Id rather have a 350x mid rang motor any ways cause thats were i ride all the time. for a pipe im goin to be running a over sized header with a pro circuit t4 slip on. the quad will be set up with works triple rates from a z400 in the front with 400ex a-arms and a 350x swing arm with a 450r shock.

well sence im goin to be spending so much $ im goin to stop now and only put small things on this bike im not goin to put any motor in it just keep the 300ex motor and put 400ex a-arms and shocks on it. and im goin to sell my lt250r and buy a honda trx250r

well, if you're planning on riding 4-stroke c class.. i don't really see any possibility of you using a 250r engine

haha, just sayin'.

no because the 4 stroke class is a combination of the 265 class and the 450 class. just called 4 stroke i gess cause thas what every one is racing now. but im not going to build the 300ex im just goin to sell my lt250r and and pick up a honda trx250r to race with. cheaper and more power.

I think fastleo has a built 350X engine. Send him a pm and see if it will suit your needs.
