well the 05 was gettin near the end of its warranty so my dad told me to come home from college we were goin truck shopping... 2 hours later we drove off this new 07 with the flex fuel and active management (switches between 4 and 8 cylinders) and a z71 package...

the new 07s are SOOOOOOOOO much nicer then the 05s and they are practically giving them away right now... if u haven't had a chance to drive a new one its totaly differnt then the old ones... it gets way better gas mileage (i'm averaging 19.5mpg) and it just rides so much smoother... its more comfortable and easier to drive also!

window was 32800 ish but they took around 4,000$ off that with rebates and incentives and they gave us 21300 for our 05...

in the end this truck will almost cost the same as the 05 for us... the 05 was at 7.9% apr for 72 months... this one is 2.9% for 60 months... so the drop in intrest saved us ALOTTTTTTTTTT of money...

Nice truck. I am thinking about trading in my 06 GMC 2500 8.1 for the new GMC 2500 Duramax.

it only uses half the fuel... like on the highway when u get on a flat or down a hill it shuts down 4 of the clyinders and runs half the motor... the gas mileage will go all the way up to 99mpg down a hill and around 34mpg on a flat that i've noticed... then as soon as u hit a hill or need some power it automatically kicks in the other 4 clyinders and gets about 1o to 15mpg ruffly...

basically its a v8 when u need it but it gets better gas mileage when u don't need the power...

It's annoying as hell when it hit's at 1500rpm and you have an exhaust system on the truck you can hear it pick and choose :p

i've been tempted to trade in my 05...i still owe 17 on it though and my payment would probably be pretty high...

what was your 05? ext cab? crew cab? z71? 4x4? i've had mine for almost 2 years now and have about 27k miles on it...i think its time to upgrade and i've heard nothing but good things about the new 07's

it was a 2005 ext cab 4x4 with the 5.3 liter 295 hp... it had the locking rear end and the auto 4wd and trialer package... it was a plain jane basic model with 29,960 miles when we traded it in... we got 21,300 for it...

Dont know if id care for that, lol got a lil water in 1 of my COP's before and was runnin on 7 instead of 8, ugh that was bad. but whatever you like lol. but the constant switching on hills and crap would probly bug me.

you would never know if u didn't put the setting on the dash that tells u what mode its in... if i didn't tell someone it was switching they would never know!
