Steering stabilizer is a must!! Anti vibration clamps. Work on your suspension before the motor. being able to ride your bike is alot harder than just going fast. But other than that a CB, exhaust and air box lid off.

The suspension is fine. i would recommend getting them revalved though. If you do that then you wont have to replace them. But like I said I would really invest in a steering stabilizer. I bought a Denton for $159

if you tqke out the spark arrestor on the stock pipe it is basically the exact same as a yoshimura

Quadman- a little off topic but are you racing d34? I work in orange county and have a little track down there. Also a ton of riding about half hour away in monticello if you ever want to hook up and ride. Right now Im racing D34 Amateur with a yoshi system and a cherry bomb and it is competative. In novice you should be fine with stock suspension. It's mostly about rider in C class, not the machine, you'll do fine.

Shocks and steering stabilizers if you insist on spending $$

At 157 lbs geared up my son raced on stock shocks with no problems. We took all of the preload out and after they broke in they actually worked quite well.

With the pea shooter out, air box lid off and cherry bomb you'll have more than enough power if you're just starting out.
