I was out for a camp/ride this wednesday and thrusday, and I was dialing in my fuel mixture for my new beautiful FMF hi-flo header and Titanium 4 exhaust. It runs beautifully with a 165 main and the pilot screw 3.75 turns out. I occastionally checked my plug to make sure it was consistent with what setup I thought produced the most power. On one side of my plug, there was a tan/golden/white/brown tint. ...In my opinion, the perfect plug color. The base ring had a light coat of carbon. Perfect. However, the side of the insulator nearest the exhaust valves was bone white. Not bad, just new/lean looking. What do I pay attention to? An average of the two colors? Only the side nearest the intake? Ingnore it and go by performance? Help!
