Put the old pads back in and put a large screwdriver between the pads and pry them apart. Is your resirvoir cap off? It should be.

if you have a parking brake you have to back the bolt off 1st. its holding piston from going all the way back in.

BINGO! That's got to be what it is. I have a brake block off and never thought he might still have the POS park brake still installed.

i learned that the hard way,i still had a parking brake and changed my brakes and finaly figured out that i had to remove the parking brake in order to get the piston to fully go back into the calipar. but here is where i screwed up, when i put the parking brake back on, i didn't adjust the bolt for the new pads. and i tightened the park brake back on and the housing that holds the bolt snaped cause the new pads were thicker :) so then i put the block off on it. yes the block off is holding your pb piston from letting you push the piston all the way in:) glad i could be of some help:)

do you have a parking brake? or do you have it blocked off?
if you have a parking brake then you have to back off the bolt that is on the left side of the calipar (if you are faceing the front of your quad) take if all the way off then after you get the brakes on put it back on, but you have to back the nut out so it can't adjust for the thicker brake pads, otherwise you will snap the housing. if you have a block off then you have to remove the block off to be able to close the piston all the way.
