Yeh man, in snow or anything I guess they HOOK up!!!!

2 cylinder 2 strokes, and some are 3 cylinder 2 strokes.

They grip and rip.

My 250r feels like one though, cuz its a 2-stroke.

A fully dragged banshee coulda kept up with that one, but was that one a 4 joke?

Nothin but 2-strokes for me.

snowmobiles will destroy an atv or bike when it comes to speed

Wow, you boys need to get up north. sleds are awesome.
They are so fast, and they'll even beat a lot of cars in the 1/4 mile.

thats was a skidoo zx chassis MXZx couldve been a 600,700,or 800 unless it wasnt the stock motor. sleds are crazy fast, and are VERY VERY popular out here on the east coast. take a trip up to upstate ny,vt,canada and you will see sled trailors by the 100's.....they outnumber quads like nothing....a main reason is because there are thousands of miles of groomed, legal trail systems made for sleds while there is pretty much nothing for quads.

if i lived a few more hours north, id definitly have a nice one but im not in the position to be able to only ride it when i can drive 6-7 hours upstate.

I am orginaly from Alaska and we use them as cars there. A quad can't even touch one. I'll have to find old photos of mine and post them here.

I have a Rev 800 and a Indy 340 Lite GT, I got the rev up to like 125 and the 340 is in the proccess of being made into a ice racing sled i got a week ago so i have no clue how fast it goes. Sleds are a huge waste of money, but its a totally different experience from an atv. i used to hate them until i rode one last winter now i love them, plus all the trails go right to bars so bar hopping is great. Thats just my 2cents on sleds but i would rather have a quad over a sled, bike,or atv, cuz i can ride it the most.-pat

a slow sled will do 75-85 mph...the average 600 will do around 100...the high performance sleds (like a banshee or 450 in the ATV world) like the 700,800s and 1000s will do over 120 stock...with over 140 hp...

sleds use mostly 2 stroke motors and they dont hold back much on them...

i remmeber i put my EXT 580, 95 hp up agenst my piped banshee and it wasnt even close, the 580 sled also walked away from the KX 500 too

my sled makes my quad feel like a snail. Does 100mph in the 1/8th. 780cc's, has everything you could and couldent think of and still "appear" stock. has just under 200hp on the motor dyno.
