Well, A few of my buddies have 50's. I have ridden them and they are a hell of a lot of fun! I'm going to be picking one up here pretty soon. Would I be better buying a used one with some aftermarket parts on it or Buy an '07? I have a buddy that works at planet Honda and said he could get me an '07 OTD for $1300.

Post some pics of yours if you have one!

Hi, I was going to get a 50 but after riding a friends 50 I figured they would just be too small and It would take a lot of money to upgrade them so I just payed a little more and got a crf70. Its just one step bigger and has really nice suspension and the motor is pretty beefy too. anyway, here is a pic of mine and my
2 1/2 foot kicker ramp. These things are so fun. I have launched this seventy about 25 feet on this kicker ramp.

IMO the 50's are great and everything but the 110's are more versatile bikes. When I was looking for a pitbike, I was set on a Honda CRF50. After some research, I found out about the KLX/DRZ 110's and they seemed to offer a better package. You get CRF70 size with a 110 motor in it. No need to go out and buy a big bore kit right away like you would with the 50. The stock motor is pretty mellow but has decent torque and pulls surpisingly hard in the midrange-top end.

You also get some more suspension travel stock, but throw some fork/shock springs on it and it's not half bad. The stock pipe is also very stealthy which is nice if you want to ride without pissing off the neighbors, I don't intend to change mine as this is just a play bike for me.

Kawasaki would probably be my last pick out of the "big 4" just out of preference but I am very happy with this bike and my decision. I paid $1,600 OTD so not much more than the 50 you were quoted.

This is the only pic I have, I had to edit a helmet in since I was just putting around in the driveway :p

if your buying new, id go with 110. i had a xr70 and the footpegs would hit the ground if you turned too fast and itd just flip haa. if your buying used, id buy a pimped out 50.

i have a crf 50 with big bars - street tire on the rear...

all i do is stunt it - but i can tell you i hate the BIGGER bikes, they are awkward to me.

Even with a knobbie on the front i can roll a six - seven parking space stoppie on all stock front and on stock springs - ect. It is all about what you are comfortable with, and practice.

I dont jump or anything tho - but get what you WANT.
