im contemplating on getting some sand stars that are 18x10x8.... for a very cheap price, $45 for both l/r tires. what are the pro's and con's of such a small tire on the rear? i have a trx 440 by the way.

18 inch? I have never seen rear sand stars that small. Thats pretty cool. I think you would sacrifice top end and just have a bunch of bottom end and you would spin out alot and definitely not be going fast in the sand. I would just stick to the 20's.
Ground clearance will be an issue in softer sand and ruts...

the 18 inch sandstar is designed for the mini quads. They are only a 6 paddle and not ment for much power.

You can get the Skat-Trak Ripper in 18" sizes (18x8.5x8 & 18x9.5x8).
