Not true. Cases are the same & you still need to get the shifter pin relocator. Ray.

the changed the casing material used to make it and instead of making it stronger it actually became more brittle. atp, and many others have lost there motors due to weak case. Atp has said they are trying to figure out a way to solve this problem as im sure with other engine builders. suzukiray have you not heard of this problem yet? there have been many reports from top engine builders letting out the word along with suzuki losing 2 motors and having to throw the 06 motors in to finish.

I heard this too..from a few guys on the track. They said that Suzuki tried to fix the shift pin problem thing, and now the 07 cases are breaking

Yep the word is that both Suzuki and ATP had two 2007 cases go down. They put the 2006 bottom ends on the bikes and finished out the weekend with no problems.

It's definitely a problem!

Apparently they may have changed the metalurgy & I didn't hear about it but DESIGN wise nothing changed. Ray.

I'm thinking of getting a LTR450 but this is got me worried. I will ride it 90% at the dunes.

How many have had the cases break?

these were highly modified motors, they were putting out some pretty good numbers no need to worry about it breaking for the average joe, now if you want to build you motor considerably then you may want to think about it, Actually they are thinking it may of just been a fluck in the assembly lines and only affected some of the engines in the 07 they are not for sure on this though.

Within the next few months I'll have a 2006 for sale because I've decided to purchase the Polaris RZR when it comes out.

Full Yoshi Exhaust (new cannister design)
Power Commander
FUELATV airbox eliminator kit with cutsom filter
Precision stabilizer.

5,000 Firm and I'm in North Carolina.

The bottom line is, there is no confirmation of any stock 07 cases breaking, aside from a select few extremely modified engines.

Suzuki's problem at round one was not the same problem the amateur teams had.

Rumors are easy to spread without facts.

i would have to say there is some what of a problem, if both of atp motors coviently dumped out in the same place.... no matter like i said they were highly built motors, your right we dont have to many facts to go on but there have been reports so that is something you can go on. things happen but for a normal person i dont think it really matters what motor you have.

Give ATP a call for more info. Apparently they are keeping track of case #'s and last I heard they are thinking it might have been a bad batch from the factory.
