it is a 1974 FORD F250. stock ride height. SKYJACKER shocks. 35 inch tires. 351 v8. dual exhaust. NO RUST. granny low 4 speed. chrome roll bar. 2 KC daylighters. rebel flag decal.

might be lucky to get 10 mpg. but i can put a snow plow on in the winter. that and i might take it to the dunes or the local mud hole once or twice.

SHOULD I BUY IT OR NOT?? $2500 plus another $1000 in nickel and dime parts.

PLEASE HELP!!!

my dad had a 1975 with 35's, a 489 v8, 4 inch lift which with the tail gate down, it was right at eye level and my dad is 6'2''. that is freakin tall.he also had a custom paint job on it of the actual truck with huge tires. ill try to find pics.

How old are you? Have you thought about how much it's gonna cost to keep gas in that thing??? And don't even get me started on the $$$ that you will spend when you take it out four wheeling. 35 inch tires are big and expensive. Large tires wear out the tranny and the shocks, everything 10 X's as fast. Maintaining a truck like that will cost a pretty good amount so I would heavily consider that.

i totaly agree witht he gas money deal specialy if your going to be traveling to school or something, but as far as things wearing out with the 35 inch tires i wouldn't worry about it. my 74 f-250 came stock with a dana 60 rear axle, heavy duty dana 44 front axle, and huge *** drum brakes so the thing has plenty of breaking power.

Im 15 and i figured out the gas deal. i would pull a trailer with the mowing business and when mowing season is over, slap a snow plow on the front and move snow.

i couldnt find a picture of my dads 75 F250 which he had heavily modded. but here is his f350.

i dunno man, you need to think this through....stuff doesnt always go as planned. then you are worried about if you have enough gas or gas money to get around.

example. doesnt rain alot so not much lawn service needed, or doesnt snow much that year.
i personally think you dont understand the cost. i hope you dont take any offense to this, just some words of wisdom from me to you though.

I would def buy it for that much.

I love F100s

I might be getting a 67 F100 with a 390 with 4 or 5 speed.

Thing looks like it would nickle and dime you to death.

My budies has a 80 somthin gmc classic, nice truck, but he is always having somthing fixed, and isnt the moast mechanicly inclined person..

wheres if I owned a simular truck I could do moast of the repairs myself.

So if you can run a wrench I say buy it. If you plan on having the work done by a mechanic Dont buy it.

I dont think I would buy that as a first truck. You can get a Toyota for that much and not have to worry about gas and you could also plow and tow with it.Just a thought but that is a nice truck.

That doesn't look like a 1974 ford. This does.
