solonoid

Ok my solonoid went out and i bought a used one off of here. I still have to touch the terminals of the solonoid with a screwdriver for it to work. Is this solonoid bad too? or is it something else.

what solenoid are you talking about? Im guessing the starter solenoid. Sounds like you have an open ground, when you touch the two terminals together you are bypassing the starter circuit. Maybe you have a bad starter switch or something?

I didnt know there was more than one solonoid. Im talking about the one back by the battery that has 2 terminals on it. The positive cable connects to it and something else. I checked my ground on the frame, what else should i check?
