did i screw this up??

i used the honda hp tranny oil on my last change. it wasnt until afterward that i looked at the back of the bottle and it says "only for use in 2 strokes" i talked to my buddy and he says its fine that im using the right oil. im confused ???

yup thats correct that what they gave me too at the honda store...

No problem. It's what most of us use. A transimission is a transmission. I think that label was made before the seperated the 450R's engine from the transmission. Most agree it's the best!

yeah, lol as long as you didn't put it in the engine side.
2 strokes have seperate crank cases and transmissions...so the only oil you put in is transmission oil. You are using the best trans oil available for the R.

Hey thx guys. Im obviously new to all this. It just scared me cause im not a mechanic or anything and this is my first quad. Dint want to mess up the tranny that soon!! THX

ive never had luck with the hp red trans oil------ i feel it shortens the life span of my clutches--?--- but thats just one opinion--- i usually run 10-40 honda oil hp4
