At 6,000 Rpm the valves are seating and opening 50 times PER SECOND. No wonder the darn things float.


I can see the piston and crankshaft spinning that fast because its reciprocating. But valves are pretty harsh up and down movement. And guys complain about having to re-shim their valves to often :rolleyes:

yupp that why vavle springs are a new "standard replacement" part jsut like your clutch and piston, these 450s really like a new set of vavle springs once a year longer than that and your asking for trouble or you aint pegging the rev limiter all the time
