Colored tires ?

I was watching the Gravity Games, bike freestyle yesterday, and noticed a lot of the guys have colored tires on their bikes. Do you think they will be hitting the atv market soon, or have they already ?

Well buddy, i think that was probably spray paint. Notice how the paint stopped right b4 the edge of the rim.

I don't think spray paint would stay on the tires like that, and I didn't see it up close enough to notice. They make different colored tires for BMX bikes, so I figured they were just doing it for dirt bikes now.

Black Magic(i think thats the brand) makes that tire tint stuff... You have to put it on pretty thick for it to look good, but it works. I've used it on my truck tires. It will stay on for a long time, and even if it doesnt turn them a color like you want, it will darken them and make your ride look ALOT cleaner.

michelen makes the tires and they are actually colored, when the rubber compund is made they add the color and voila.

I have seen Royal blue flat track quad tires, they look sweet.... and they do make the quad look alot better.

I have a set of blue and a set of red tires for my mountain bike. They are made by panaracer and michelin. They arent colored on the outside with like a marker or something -- a color is added to the compound. You can have any color you want, in theory. I have yet to see a quad with colored tires. I think there would be a market for red or pretty much any colored holeshots..........

I purchased 2 sets of Camo Tires from these guys desert and wood. my freind put the urban Camo on his Raptor Sweet look . Any way this is were you get the colored tires it is thru the whole tire it is the rubber another words it never wears out ( the color I mean) Hope this helps everyone.

My buddy got some red Innova tires for his 450r. They look good but are poor qaulity. Two mx rides and he ripped one of the knobs completly off.

ok for those of you who dont know pure rubber is actually white when they put it into the mold for the tire they die it black (black is easy and shows less) its very easy for teh companies to use rubber for their tires that isnt died yet and then place what ever color dye they want into the mold, duh......

dont yall know that white wall tires were white all the way through and that they made those by not dying that area of the tire ;)

I swear I remember reading a interview with Maxxis and they were asked about colored tires and they kinda dodged that bullet and kept everything hush hush as though they were in the process of it right now...did anyone else read this somewhere?
