so where can i buy a vcp hammer hedz piston? ive looked all over the internet and cant find one. do they not make them anymore?

That's the old name. It's Venom Performance and you can buy the updated design called the Black Widow piston through kylebaldwinracing.com ask for Kam or Marty.

Ive heard of them but I thought they were more for drag racing.

The BW is a CP made, Venom designed custom single ring slipper piston. It's not solely for drag racing. As with any other single ring, slipper design, then will require more frequent replacement than a 2 ring, standard wall piston. It will make quite a bit more power though.

Replacement intervals are longer than the stock pistons - at least what Honda recommends for the 06/07 models. There are plenty of ppl that have run BW's for 50 - 100 hours before needing replacement. Even on nitrous and very built motors.


BTW - if you're interested, go check out all the features on the JE, CP, Baldwin, Venom, Wiseco, etc., pistons. I think you will find that they will all "work", it's just that some have more/better features depending on your budget and the state of tune of your motor.

budgets not really a concern ive looked at pretty much all the pistons
im definately gunna go with the BW piston
its what i need for my hillclimb/drag set-up i want all the power i can get
