I wanted to get a cam for some better performance. I plan on going big bore, but not for almost 2 years cuz I'm going back overseas. I mainly want it for the next few months.

With that said, my engine mods include a White Bro's E series full exhaust, K&N, 6-1 inch holes in air box lid, and all Cometics gaskets.

I ride mainly trails, tracks, and gravel pits in the area. My quad already has a ton of low-end torque, but not a lot of high end power.

Which should I get the Stage 1 or Stage 2. Are these even recommended with a primarily stock engine? Any help would be great.

as far as I know yeah. I bought it like it is. He said that he did nothing to the engine internals cuz it looses reliability so I'm guessing it's all stock.

Well considering you have a pipe i'd go with a stage 2 if you want more top end, Stage 1 gives you more bottom end which in your case you have plenty.

As soon as you get back from over seas and stuff I would pop a 416 or a 426 kit in there and bump the comp to 11:1 so you get more out of the cam if you want to go that route. Just a suggestion though.

I agree with Honda#4, if your going to go to a higher compression someday, do your cam once and go with a Stage 2. But if your not going to a higher compression, then a Stage 1 would be a better choice in my opinion

Alright one last question on this.

When I get back money will be no object so redoing my cam then will not bother me. Is it better to go stage 1 now. Which will give me more power with my current, primarily stock setup?

Per Hotcams and C&D, yes.

Stage 1 for stock motor.

Stage 2 for a modded motor.

Tell you the truth I just got done talking with a person about cams on here that is running a stage 3 stroker cam with a mild modded motor and stock exhaust. So a Stage 2 cam will be good enough untill you get back.

1 to 2 main jet sizes higher I would go.
