Stage one give you lowend and mid-range power and the stage 2 gives you mid-range and upper level power.

What motor setup are you running? It seems like the stage 2's are better for bigger bore motors(416, 426, etc.)

depends on your engine set up, To get the most out of it, you need more then just a cam either way,
opened up intake system, Better exhaust,


if you have all that stuff, i would stay the stage 2 cam would work better.

It's probably a personal preferance thing but my guess would be that the stage 2 is better for MX because it seems like I'm always in the mid to upper level RPM range when racing.

So if you put a 16 tooth front sprocket on your 400ex with a 426 bore kit and a stg 1 hotcam you shouldnt be lacking bottom end power?
